saltfineart introduces Experi[mental], an exhibition of works by a new generation of globally oriented Latin American artists. In the age of the Internet, these artists have transcended limits that both confined and galvanized their predecessors. That is not to say that concerns over political corruption, personal repression, the overarching power of religious institutions and upper social castes and rigid sexual stereotypes have disappeared from consciousness.

“Capita Mortua* Suite” is the rare contradiction in terms of a coded protest against human disgrace and poverty in the gang land controlled Salvadorian suburbs; how commercial exploitation and a corrupted genealogy restrain a vast majority of people in a deprived status qua and claim everyday casualties and numerous of deaths: It is where the Baroque turns claire-obscure; where centuries of crafted artistic tradition meets current concepts of free expression and the finest of the classics and the modern merge into a contemporary Barraza.

Un Marco Modular es una exposición que incluye a artistas latinoamericanos, o artistas con vínculos a la región que han estado produciendo su obra informados por la estética digital desde - por lo menos- mediados de los años noventa: el mismo tiempo cuando el arte digital comenzó a emerger. Muchos de los trabajos incluidos en la exposición son recientes e innovadores y tienen el potencial de volverse parte de la historia del arte. Lo que es seguro es que los artistas son pioneros en el arte digital y nuevos medios en sus propios países, y por esta razón han sido invitados a participar en Un Marco Modular.

Esta exposición es la primera de su tipo en la región Centro Americana, por lo cual su propósito es de presentarle a la cultura local una pequeña muestra de la diversa práctica en el arte digital. Al mismo tiempo, la exposición está diseñada como un punto de enfoque, como un modulo de evaluación de la rica producción en los nuevos medios realizado por un grupo de artistas que comparten similitudes en el tratamiento de la tecnología como una forma artística propia. Las obras incluidas comentan de una forma u otra sobre la interconectividad y las posibilidades de la comunicación mientras que exploran diversos intereses desde la política hasta la estética, abstractamente.
